Event Spotlight
The summer season is always a high point for outdoor events and activities. Along with local fairs and festivals, many states and counties run their own annual "State Fair". A growing trend over the last decade is the music festival. These festivals bring multiple musical groups to a single event site usually over a several day period. Most of these festivals have a need for temporary tent structures and other event rental related items. We've selected three of the many popular summer music events to highlight:
Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival
As Lady Gaga decided which over-the-top costume to début, and Eminem contemplated how to perform a rap song with out an obscenity, and Lady Antebellum cleared room for all their inevitable awards; rental companies throughout Los Angeles were readying for the 53rd Annual Grammy Awards. This year’s awards took place on Feb. 13th at the Staples Center in downtown Los Angeles.
October 20th marked the first ever Aztec Losberger University. On a beautiful, sunny, crisp, fall morning, over 100 participants representing 40 tent rental operations from 11 states gathered outside the facilities of All Occasions Event Rental in Cincinnati, Ohio. The event began with a comprehensive tour of the All Occasions Event Rental facility that included a trip through the warehouse, tent washing bay, frame storage area, linen and dish operation and state-of-the-art showroom.
If you’re a fan of NASCAR, this project is for you. In cooperation with the team of Torrance, CA based Classic Tents, Aztec designed and constructed a mobile branding package for use at various sites throughout the NASCAR racing circuit.
The primary structure used for this project was a 25m x 25m Losberger Uniflex profile with full digital branding for the roof, gables and walls. Several smaller 20’ x 40’ Gable Ended frame branded units were also constructed for additional support of the larger structure.
Richmond, California-based Top Productions supplied this massive tent installation for Google during a December holiday event in San Jose. Over 93,000 square feet of tenting and clearspan structures – including MaxibeamTM, MidbeamTM, Traditional Frame Tents, and FestivalTM high-peak frame tents – were used to cover the event space and adjacent support areas for the two-day event that hosted 6,000 patrons each night.

Inspired by the creative direction of event planner Chad Michael Peters, Mattapoisett, Massachusetts based Chase Canopy Company was contracted to install a 44'x83' Tidewater Sailcloth tent. The Indian themed wedding was held July 25th at the Eastover Farm in Rochester, Massachusetts.
Hired by the City of Scottsdale, Arizona, Aztec produced the new fabric panels for their Westworld facility, home to the annual Barrett-Jackson Auto Auction. Car collectors and enthusiasts travel from across the globe each January to take part in what has become one of the most prestigious and anticipated collector car auctions and expositions in the world.
