The summer season is always a high point for outdoor events and activities. Along with local fairs and festivals, many states and counties run their own annual "State Fair". A growing trend over the last decade is the music festival. These festivals bring multiple musical groups to a single event site usually over a several day period. This year’s awards took place on Feb. 13th at the Staples Center in downtown Los Angeles.
What started four years ago as a handful of requests for a new sailcloth tent design from rental companies along the New England seaboard, has turned into a national trend. As the Tidewater Series continues to gain popularity across the nation, the number of Tidewater Series products is also expanding. The original design in Aztec's Tidewater Pole Tent Series included 20’, 32’ and 44’ widths, followed by a 51’ version of the pole tent last year.
With the recent undertaking of a new independent study into the way commercial tents are ballasted when staking is not an option, the Tent Rental Division(TRD) of the Industrial Fabrics Association International (IFAI) has stepped in to find answers to the questions once found “taboo” by most in our industry. At the recent IFAI Tent Expo, where the green light was given to fund and start the process of this study, there seem to be quite a bit of confusion about what this study will tell us and how the information will affect our businesses.
